Word of mouth certainly worked last week when Tim answered the call for help from fellow lorry drivers to help with the move.
Tim, working for Harvey Brothers, safely transported our rare Bedford OY water bowser to Alford. This was a real challenge as the vehicle is a complete “Airfix” kit! It had to be winched onto the trailer so the trailer supplied by the firm was ideal. Other parts of the vehicle were also moved at the same time along with our mini Bedford TK Fire Appliance ex Nocton Hall Hospital. Both vehicles fit inside at Alford so it wasn’t long before they were safely tucked away. Both vehicles are undergoing restoration to show condition. Massive thanks to Tim and Harvey Brothers for giving up their time and services free of charge.
